The second addition to the "Fresh Cuts" set of singles, "Campfires" is a more mellow, acoustic song full of memories of a person since gone from the singer's life. I chose to use darker colors and a deep blue-green to personify this feeling, and because they contrasted brilliantly with the yellow tones of the lemon. As with the other two singles comprising "Fresh Cuts," certain aesthetic elements are consistent:
     - Mixture of ballpoint pen drawn elements + photography : Because the artist is known as Sketchy Dave, he and I decided to incorporate certain "sketchy" elements to the design. However, he wanted it to still feel modern and tangible, so I worked in photographed elements to all three designs as well. Together, it creates an eclectic style that reflects Sketchy Dave's genre-mixing sound and independently-produced collection.
     - Lemon: As "Fresh Cuts" is Sketchy Dave's production debut, he wanted an eye-catching image that would represent the feeling of freshness. He liked the idea of a lemon, so I included a lemon in the designs of all three covers. I felt that its use here was particularly strong and would create a sense of intrigue due to the unusual juxtaposition.
     - White frame: I decided to most explicitly unite each single under the Fresh Cuts collection using a consistent white border. Initially, the artist wanted to release all three songs in an EP, but we felt he could gather more attention for his first releases if they were released separately with about a month in between. However, he still wanted them to feel like part of a set. I also felt the white frame identified the singles with the Indie genre, which could entice fans of that genre to give his music a listen.
